The term of assistance
An act of providing help
This act covers every activity when the provider shares help for someone who throughout his or her journey gets in trouble after some kind of an accident and therefore he or she is in need for help (Based on the legal paragraph of 2003/LX.).
Assistance provider
An individual provider who shares help for the costumers in 24/7 and acts in the name and on behalf of the insurance company.
Insurance companies are financial institutions therefore they outsource every other non-financial activity to the so-called assistance companies.
The assistance service within the insurance market is an individualized division for 60 years in foreign countries and for 20 years in Hungary, and it mainly provides services for the insurance companies in the field of travel insurance; however, nowadays it shares services for the whole market with the exception of life-insurance.
